1. Who can I email to ask more questions?
   1. You can contact president@milwaukeemakerspace.org or vicepresident@milwaukeemakerspace.org
2. Can I be on the mailing list without being a member?
   1. Yes. Anyone can read the list. You must request posting permission via the google group web page to post to the group. This requirement is to reduce spam.
3. How do I become a member.?
   1. Right now we are only looking for founding members willing to pay a year of dues plus security deposit ($700 total)
   2. Once we have all our founding members, come to a meeting. Get sponsored, sign the paperwork, write a check.
4. If I become a founding member, when does the 1 year membership expire?
   1. One year after we open the doors at a rental site.
5. How do I get sponsored for membership if I don't know any current members?
   1. Come to some meetings, make a friend.
6. What are the dues and why?
   1. Dues at start at $80/month and will drop to $50/month as more members are added. There is also a $100 security deposit.
7. What does the security deposit cover.
   1. It covers damage you cause, messes you leave, etc.
8. Can I join for just one month every once in a while?
   1. Yes, but you have to get sponsored each time you want to rejoin and you miss out on the social aspect. You won't get to see and talk to the other members doing cool projects.
9. What can I do there as a member?
   1. Take a look at the blogs to get an idea of the sorts of things we do now.
   2. What do you want to do? If its cool but not immediately possible we'll try to make it happen.
10. Can I use anything there as a member? (Equipment, tools, materials)
    1. Once you are qualified to use a given machine or tool, you can use that machine. The will be some materials that are for common use but please don't use other member's materials with out their permission.
11. What happens if I break a machine?
    1. You need to fix it or find someone who can fix it. If you don't and the other members feel it was malicious you may lose your security deposit and or membership. We all understand that use of the machine results in wear and tear that inevitably leads to failure.We are just asking for reasonable accountability
12. Who owns the machines?
    1. Probably whoever may have leased the machine to us. We may own some equipment as an LLC but not too much.
13. What equipment is there.
    1. Check out our equipment gallery.
14. Can I bring a guest to the space?
    1. Yes, you can bring two guests, 10 years aged or older. Each must sign the guest liability release form.
15. Can my club meet at the space?
    1. Once a month each member may host a club meeting. More than 10 folks must be schedule 1 month in advance.
16. It seems like you guys have tons of structure already. I wanted to have more input into the initial organization.
    1. The Bylaws, member agreement, etc. represent the output of the interested folks we could find at the time. However, we've built in the ability to change to all of our organizational structures. If you become a member and you have a good idea about how pretty much anything might be changed with regards to the way we operate, you'll have a voice.
17. How can I get an account on the website?
    1. Become a member and we'll will create one for! Or if you ask nicely we'll make one with lesser permissions for non members. (email president@milwaukeemakerspace.org)
